Tim Brown, better known as “The Rocket”, has pondered whether any more of the NASCAR Whelen Southern Modified Tour races would be in his remaining schedule for 2010 or not. As of today, he is proud to announce that he will be partnering up with T and C Motorsports to race the No. 02 car in the NWSMT races to be held at Bowman Gray Stadium on August 6th, and at Bristol Motor Speedway on August 18th.
Brown raced in the three NWSMT races that were held prior to the beginning of the 2010 Bowman Gray Stadium season. He did not attend the last NWSMT race, which was held at Caraway Speedway in July. It was uncertain whether he would be able to race in any more of the NWSMT races this season, until he was offered a ride in the No. 02 car. The remainder of the races that are scheduled for the tour, following the race at Bristol Motor Speedway, are being discussed at this point.
“I want to thank Tom and Ryan from T and C Motorsports for giving me the opportunity to drive for them at Bowman Gray Stadium and Bristol Motor Speedway. I feel confident that we can run well together and hopefully contend for some wins right out of the box. I am looking forward to this chance to drive the 02 car for some races in the remainder of 2010.” stated an optimistic Brown.
The NWSMT races at Bowman Gray Stadium and Bristol Motor Speedway will be televised at later dates.
